Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro crater

Today on this trip-of-a-lifetime, have an early after breakfast start as you drive back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its showpiece – the Ngorongoro Crater, it is now home to Africa’s densest concentration of big animals. Descending into the Crater, you begin to pick out the familiar shapes of elephant and buffalo on the crater floor, mingled with zebra, wildebeest, and gazelles. It is also one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of big predators and lions, leopards, and hyenas are regularly seen, and you may see hippos in the Crater lakes.

Manyara National Park Then Back to Town

After breakfast, you will be met at your accommodations by your safari guide and then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park situated 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow Salt Lake. It covers a large area of the park, floods and dries with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your park explorations, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes.
